Humidori is an inventory and reference app for people who collect cigars. This policy says what the app does with information, in plain words.

No account, no tracking

Humidori has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. We do not know who you are.

Your data stays on your device

Your collection, humidors, climate readings, journal and settings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad (and in your own iCloud device backup if you use it). You can export them as CSV or JSON at any time from Profile, and delete them by resetting the collection or deleting the app.

What the app downloads

About once a week the app fetches the public cigar catalog file from humidori.app so new releases appear without an app update. That request carries no identifier, no account and no data from your phone. You can limit it to Wi-Fi or trigger it by hand in Settings.

Optional cloud answers (Premium, off by default)

If you are a Premium member and turn on cloud answers, two things may leave your phone when you use them: a question you type to Ask Marcus that the app's own notes cannot answer, and a band photo the scanner cannot read. They are sent to our relay server, forwarded to an AI provider to produce the answer, and not stored by us. Nothing else is sent. The switch is off until you turn it on, and the app tells you what leaves the phone before you do.

Purchases

Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment and receipts; we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Camera and photos

The camera and photo picker are used only to read barcodes and cigar bands on your device. Photos are not uploaded unless you use the optional cloud band check described above.

Children

Humidori is for adults 18 and over (21 and over where the law requires) and is rated accordingly on the App Store.
